The more you hate, the more you love. I guess it’s probably true but for most people, it’s the other way around. It’s true for a lot of tragic love stories. The thing is, it’s going to hurt more when a love so deep ends in tragedy especially when one or both of the parties don’t think the relationship should end report engine.

The thing with break-ups like this is that ex-lovers can always be civil towards each other but they can never be true friends. You don’t want the other to be happy when you’re so miserable. Let’s face it; everything must be equal. You’re both either happy or miserable at the same time.

The pride of an ex entails that you have to be friends with him. Sure, you might be miserable but you don’t want him or your friends to know. And so, you’ll pretend to be happy and smile those fake smiles. The question is, if you’re pretending, who’s to say he’s not? But your pride will dictate you to go on, pretend, and never ask. You don’t want him to know you want him back when he’s not asking you back, anyway.
