In this fast changing world, a lot of people have become accustomed to the bleak, dull, grey scenery of the city. But in the realms of planning, a rather century’s old movement, called the Garden City movement has been making a buzz these days.

First conceptualized by Ebinezer Howard, an English office worker in 1898, this concept of a city is now quite appealing to both legislators, politicians, decision-makers, planners and ordinary citizens alike.

The concept of a Garden City operates on the notion of a self-contained community surrounded by a “greenbelt” or simply open spaces or parks which actually sets the limit to any physical development of the city.

According to Howard, there are two places with different characteristics that pull people towards them and these are the Town and the Country. In the case of the Philippines, the Town represents Urban places and the Country represents Rural places. In his concept of a Garden City, he put together the appealing characteristics to both Town and Country.

The Church has strongly opposed against the concept of gay adoption because they believe that such set-up would degenerate the sanctity of the family. However, research shows that this strong opposition by the church has no basis at all. in Fact, recent research focusing on gay and lesbian adoption shows that they are actually great candidates as parents. Why again? because they have great tastes in gadgets – gps and garmin.

Abbie Goldberg, a psychologist from Clark University found out from studies that gay parents tend to be more motivated and have more commitment towards parenting compared to their heterosexual counterparts. The reason behind this is the the fact that gay parents were parents by choice unlike most heterosexual couples who were 50% accidental parents.

Also, kids brought up by gay aprents are nurtured in an open-minded environment of gender tolerance. Not saying that heterosexual couples cannot provide such environment though.

One thing for sure, having gay parents bears no negative efects on a child’s social and cognitive development.

Dear Crocs,

Hello there. I really must say, you’ve always been a mystery to me. I still don’t know why you were loved by a lot of people last year. I can’t seem to understand why you were such a rave last year that almost everyone was wearing you on their soles. I have to be honest with you, you looked awkward, weird and plain ugly. No offense meant there.

Well, anyway, that was last year. Or was it two years back? Anyway, I’m just happy that fashion sense finally took over. You are dethroned. If I’m observing correctly, the “barely there” slippers are trendy right now. You know what I mean?

Well, anyway again.. while I am searching for a conferencing service

. I hope you all the best, Crocs. And I’ve come to realize that your ugliness and out-of-this-world look probably made you that famous before. Maybe sometimes ugly can be pretty, right? Peace out.

Signed,

Slipper lover

The more you hate, the more you love. I guess it’s probably true but for most people, it’s the other way around. It’s true for a lot of tragic love stories. The thing is, it’s going to hurt more when a love so deep ends in tragedy especially when one or both of the parties don’t think the relationship should end report engine.

The thing with break-ups like this is that ex-lovers can always be civil towards each other but they can never be true friends. You don’t want the other to be happy when you’re so miserable. Let’s face it; everything must be equal. You’re both either happy or miserable at the same time.

The pride of an ex entails that you have to be friends with him. Sure, you might be miserable but you don’t want him or your friends to know. And so, you’ll pretend to be happy and smile those fake smiles. The question is, if you’re pretending, who’s to say he’s not? But your pride will dictate you to go on, pretend, and never ask. You don’t want him to know you want him back when he’s not asking you back, anyway.

One effective way to control your food intake is to not just think of what to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner all the times. This will just make you crave for more. If you set your eyes on what is essential in the achievement of your goal, it will then be a lot easier for you.

Everybody wants a toned core may they be women or men. Let’s face it, a killer six-pack is a great thing to behold. But a toned core’s rewards can be beyond aesthetics. A strong body core will, among a lot of things, improve your form, reduce risk of injuries and make you move faster and eyelash growth products.

To develop your core, it is suggested that you perform the “alphabet plank” which will effectively help you build core strength and stability. To perform the alphabet plank, simple follow these simple steps:

1. Assume a modified plank position– place your knees and feet on the ground and your elbows and forearms should be 12-18 inches apart on a stability ball. For those who don’t know, a stability ball is a large inflatable ball that you sit on, lean on and use as a substitute for a bench.

2. Don’t be too tensed and keep your hands in loose fists while your arms should be shoulder-width apart.

3. Spell out the letters of the alphabet while rolling on the ball. The small and unpredictable movement will target your abs efficiently.

For advanced versions of this exercise, you might wanna try spelling out the alphabet in italics or try spelling our your favorite quote for a change. Try it, its effective and fun!

You might have heard this saying over and over again. Despite the fact that you understand its meaning, you still fail to follow it. What could possibly be the reason? Why do you seem to ignore the idea of not crying over spilled milk and move forward after what has happened? Sadly, this is not always being followed by those who wear grudges. They tend not to accept the reality like having a truck tracking device.

Yet, this is the best lesson that you can get out of it. The faster you come to face with reality, the easier it would be for you to understand why things happen.

When you have finally understood everything, it will be easier for you to become better in facing life’s adversities. Sad as it may seem, but some things are not really meant to be. Just make this as your guide and you will be better off. Again, move positively forward.

If you have heard of the term anger management, you might be surprised about sex management. Well, anger is something that can be easily controlled since a lot of people are aware of the fact that they get easily angry.

However, there are those who suffer from sex related problems such as sex addiction and are embarrass to admit that they have it. Thus, it becomes more difficult to manage and deal with. Yet, just like anger, sex can be controlled to. It is just important to think about the sanctity of sex or the sanctity of the person whom you do it with.

By then, you will realize that it is not good to do it always, or do it at all, outside marriage.
